Le Rustique cherche Petit Munster (a matter of [cheesy] affinity) - from Dean Marks

Dean loves to play with words, and taking the twisted roads of language back and forth between French and English is even more fun. He knows how to build a story around the most (apparently) insignificant comment that comes up on a blog. So he knows that crêpes suzette only make me moderately homesick and that it is cheese (and alsacian Munster cheese in…

Fire Monkey Body Surfing the Great Wave - from RCBz

I sometimes wish RCBz would be around to tell us more about his pieces. I know I really like this card, but I can't explain exactly why. Esthetically, Hokusai's wave is always a winner. The card is built very simply around it. No frills whatsoever, and the back of the card is equally sober, stripped-down to the address. Is is a reference to the tsunami? Why the…

Saddle Shoe - from Alicia Starr

When I picked up this package at the post office I first thought someone had sent me a slice of chocolate cake. I was almost disappointed that it wasn't the case, until I saw that it was Alicia's last. She painted a great saddle shoe on one of her... I really don't know the name of it, what is it called? I think she is making pairs, I wonder if there is another…

Bar Codes from Anna Banana

It seems that Anna Banana has been converted from Bananas to Bar codes.  Who's fault could that be?   How far do you think one could go by using only barcodes?  And where do we go from here?  Thank you Anna Bar codes Banana!…

Katerina Nikoultsou's Corn Flower , Greek Spring & Barcodes. (Barcodes where a thank you for the sick bag)

Corn Flower in Greece.  My wife really liked this one.  She said immediately that it looks like corn flower.  I said, “Really, I thought the blue paint tipped over.”  Actually I have no idea what corn flower looks like other that the stuff in a paper bag or jar.  Lucky this one arrived in Paris under knowledgeable eyes.  Besides flowers, my wife also knows about birds and can…

Perfect from Diane Keys

Sometimes perfect is just perfect.  I sent a sick bag to Diane and her reply was to put all of this stuff into a refillable coffee bag.  Yes, I was perfect.
