Mail from December 2018:

The Lyons’ Den received a very first piece of mail from Moscow, Russia via Ilya Semenenko-Basin. Ilya used postage stamps and glue to create an interesting collage.

The collage I received was done on a post card, and features a number of circles and other shapes.…

Mail from November 2018:

How great to receive mail from C. Mehrl Bennett! I love the original artwork from Catherine - especially the mini book, "Ask a Cow." Weeks before I had given her a few brown kraft pages from a discarded braille book. I'm glad to see it put to use, and thrilled that I am the…

Mail from August 2018:

Judy S. and her lovely dog Joey sent me a post card featuring circles. Judy's note reveals that the card was made by Inge Hauser (Austria) for Judy to send to someone. As I am in the CIRCLES group (IOUMA-ning) with Judy, she decided to send it to me.…

Mim Golub Scalin sent this slithery post card in October 2018. The card was made for Day 9 of "Creative Sprint,  a project requiring Mim to combine two things that don't go together or are opposites." Her card features a snake and a white rodent. …

Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I didn't know about mail art until I found a book about it at a secondhand shop. Immediately I was fascinated with the whole idea. At the time I was just delving into mixed media art, vintage collage and altered art - but I knew that I would eventually want to give mail art a try.

* I like vintage valentines, greeting cards and all kinds of ephemera. I'm cool with anything - vintage images, pop art, humor or anything you’d like to send me.

About Me

Howdy, this is Jayne!

I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, but have lived in Minnesota for over 20 years. My husband and I have been married for over 28 years, and we have five children and one grandson. We have two Yorkshire Terriers, Randy & Rose.

I am a lifelong collector, treasure hunter and history buff. I especially love to collect ephemera (as a teen - many, many years ago - I used to collect matchbook covers and stamps). I have my original stamp album, and I still collect stamps today.

I am a former Children's Librarian. I currently sell vintage goods and collectibles online (and at local flea markets / antiques malls from time to time). I have a shop on ETSY - www.accumulationsbazaar.shop .

"I was just recalling seeing many examples of Catholic triptych and diptych icons. Making triptych for m-a was a cool idea. I feel odd about asking, but did Karen pass away? You use was / were when you speak of her."

No worries.  I am an exceptionally disorganized mailer as I often forget to log what I've sent and decide better safe than sorry and send people two things.... but then again sometimes am sure I sent when I didn't. I believe I sent something to you a few days ago but mail is sooooooo slow between Canada and the US these days.  It is odd that things get to European cities faster.
