"You are welcome.  I've been making and exchanging a lot of mail art, but I haven't been posting online lately.  I'm trying to get in the habit of visiting this site (and participating) more often.  See ya in the mail!…"

Denise Woodward commented on Ruud Janssen's group Ask Anything
"Hi res-I've used glassine envelopes for mailing and I think they can be quite lovely!  You have to seal them well, and you have to use "non-machineable" postage stamps.  Have fun!  Denise"

Ask Anything

There are a lot of basic questions on Mail Art that are often asked and answered. This group might be the first place to look for answers. I will do my best to answer, but hope that other members can help out as well.

Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I began doing mail art in college with my friends. It was fun to get postcards in the mail when we were at home during the holidays. As we got older, we stopped exchanging mail. Later, I started making greeting cards and eventually taught myself to make pop up cards. I send them out to friends and family, but it is a one way street. I am excited about joining IUOMA so that I can participate in an exchange with other artists.

Another WOW from you,  Denise! I love the koi fish and the Japanese themed ATC! I'm happy you liked "Win the War." I can't wait to see what develops!

O my gosh Denise! Thank you for the stunning 3D ATC! Everything about it just works so beautifully, from the postage stamp to the reeds "growing" outside the frame. And thanks for the lovely note and envelope, too. Wonderful to hear from you again!

Hi Denise -- I'm glad you starting making art again! Thank you so much for the fabulous ATC. It is a little different for you, but still has your trademark imagination and precision. And I love the little bits that came with it!
