Ha ha Nance! I can just picture you ripping rust off an old rusty wagon! Being middle aged gives one a certain anonimity so we can act crazy and no one cares! You go girl!!! Now go and fooster around with those bits of rust....

I like how you put that, Lisa, "the mysterious magnetism of mail art." The magnetism is a powerful force. So is the mystery, and the many elements of surprise. I just returned from the market and saw an old rusted out wagon by the side of the road. Swerve and screech, then robbed it of all the little bits of rust it would let go of. It made my day. Rust=great trashpo.

How exciting Lisa-can't wait to receive it. Such a beautiful though you are truly a class act. Your concept  falls in line with what I read at the found Magazine site that put it very well:

"The best finds tend to be mysteries. We get lots of submissions saying "I found this in my daughter's room" or "I found this in my grandma's attic..." Without getting into a semantic discussion about what constitutes a "find," we tend to share ones that come from sources unknown. Mysterious contexts. Not something your sister wrote when she was drunk at your party, but something that appeared stuck to your bike tire. Those stories tend to be infinitely more interesting."

So the secret component of trashpo, to me anyway, is mystery. For me the anonymity factor is far reaching as I consider anything that was not written by me, that peers into the life of another (Nancy Bell Scott for example) to be of great interest and trashpo material

You're probably right. The powers that be in the Art World will require what to them seems like a more charismatic name, like pashpo (pronounced poshpo).

Nancy, I'm still working on manifesting that so will let you know when it hits 3D. 

Trashpo will probably just morph into something with a different name-but will still be trashpo
