This is a place to explore all things trashpo (Trash Poetry)and found objects. Trashpo is 1) economical 2) environmentally responsible and 3) challenging. It's a great way to repurpose all the trash that our planet is buried in!

"If trashpo has taught me anything its that every windblown street corner and cyclone fence is a veritable Dick Blick of free art materials."

DKult was originated by DeVillo Sloan-- a Kult comprised of my 'fans' ---DKulters. He was the only one at the time and possibly even now. But It has evolved into a friendly neighborhood Kult devoted to the worship of trash and the creation of…Continue

Dear Your Highness.
I suggest that you avoid reality. A soothing trash bath is prescribed.

I am all for thinking hard, HilgART. And here I am, doing just that because, after having rallied the troops, I cannot but respond, although I have no idea what I am going to tell you. Part of TrashPo is going about Life picking up rubbish from the streets, the market place, one's neighbours dustbins. Then you organize it in a sort of composition but not too composed, the more decomposed the better really, having regard to the sensitive nose of the post persons.
The traditional method of collage is highly suitable to the creation of TrashPo. What is most important is that the final piece has to have not, or does not have to have, even, Sense. Or make it either. Following these simple and clear rules you can make plastic art, write poetry, songs, opera, create sculptures or burn your toast.
TrashPo was created by Diane as part of DKult, The Cult you can Trash, with De Villo Sloane as one its principal followers. I am only a lowly lay follower. And probably got all I have hereby told you quite wrong. Do what I do; make it up as you go along. Enjoy!
(Wow! I needed this; I have been having too many reality issues lately)
How would you folks "define" Trashpo? In what way(s) is it distinct from Found Art and from using discarded materials (eg magazines, newspapers, and random scraps of paper) in, say, collages? Or am I thinking too hard?
Time for the Queen to quash the rebellion!
For good or trash, you have inspired me, Finn. 2019 shall be the Year of Trashpo in the United Queendom, which by the way is in turmoil: General Marth is planning a revolution.
Glad to see it made it to you, Martha.
Hi Where is the Queen? I am about to start working on a sseries of Trashpo Icons and woudl like to dedicate it to her Majesty.
Coming to thinkof it, I do not need to know where hEr majesTY is, so i shll go ahead.
