Whether you create in a studio, atelier, shed, kitchen or on a coffee table, the artists' workspace has always been an intriguing place of information and interest to people.
Please share photos of YOUR mail art creating area. I want to see Artspaces in action, so no tidying up!! Let's see your pens, tools, glues, stamps, dirty wine glass, rubbish bin, storage space, etc!
Let's have a snoop in this group!!

I work on many pieces simultaneously - not just mail art: paper, mixed media, collage, panels- and I had run out of space to place incomplete work as it dries. So I built a storage rack with many shelves, shown here in the back corner. Now my…Continue

I love the owl and also the squirrel that strayed from Ice Age in Nico's studio. Gosh I never thought that I had such leanings towards artistic voyeurism, I enjoy this peeping into everybody else's art space so much.
The owl guards all of my buttons! :D
It's been an interesting experience... having owned my own place 90 miles away for almost 8 years, going back home to my mum has been a bit of a wrench. It must be worse for him though, with the in-laws!
Thanks for the encouraging words guys. It does get me down sometimes, but it would be much worse if we didn't have anywhere to go! And I can still make art, even if I am sat on the floor ;)
the owl is pretty cool!!
my wife and i lived with my mom & then with her mom for a long while b4 we got out - so i feel your pain....
u will get out eventually - no worries...
You all have such lovely and personal work spaces... *sigh*
My husband and I have been staying with family 'temporarily'... for over a year and a half now. Space is very limited, so all of my art supplies are in our bedroom, squashed into the space between my clothes-rack 'wardrobe' and the door. The bed doubles as my table, and is usually covered in a layer of paper scraps and bits of thread (and more than once a needle or two!) My husband is very patient with my nightly making habits.
By the end of the year, though, we will have our own place again (if it kills me!) and I will be wanting a whole room of my own!
Sorry for the poor quality photos - they're taken with my phone and the lighting is pretty poor. That's probably why I now need glasses!
Note the weighing scales on the right, so I don't have to go to the Post Office with my unusual mail :)
I have my incoming mail art pegged up for inspiration. Here's last month's...
art space?
does this mean i have to take a picture every-time i make art somewhere?
i want a shed really bad to do art - but it would probably just become my tattoo space!!!
I'll shut up now!
