Tjena! Can recommend their scissors, the only brand in our household since 1969, Fiskars. Of the highest finnish quality.

Thanks Kat. My Best secateurs are by Fiskars, and the lower handle swivels. So comfy! Will look at their scissor range!

Your are right, Vizma, they are FISKARS brand.

I bet you can order on-line? I was not allowed to bring them

from the States in my carry-on luggage..hahaha. I gave them

to my nephew and he sent them by snail mail to me...aah, life on this planet!

Snap scissors? And are they Fiskars brand?? Me want!!

Kalimera, Viz! Kalispera to Oz :-)

Yes, those "snap" scissors are from a shop in Chicago that sells sewing materials, etc.

I like them for fine cutting work, and they are great for cutting fabrics (but I do NOT use

them for cutting sandpaper :-(

I gave my son scissors like that too, because he is left-handed

and normal scissor blades are set for right-handed use, I didn't know that beforeh and :-)

Hey Kat, those grey-handled scissors you have there, with the orange dot...are they spring-loaded, and are they any good? Fiskars??

I want some new pointy ones.

Yeah, Angie, I have all kinds of great boxes, baskets and vessels for my stuff, but I tend to put things in stupid piles on my table "for now", and now becomes forever, or until it all topples!!!

Comment by Claire (aka Cleo) on January 21, 2013 at 6:17pm

ha ha ha - exactly Angie! The problem is, it starts as "convenience," but somehow they always get lost amidst the hoards...

Yes, Vizma...this is the wooden table in the studio apartment in the city where you were!

Comment by vizma bruns on August 31, 2012 at 6:04am

Kat, is this the table where we made mail art together? Or is this the marble room?

Some of my tools ...out on the little table that is also a table where I eat....(apples)

eraser stamps are in tiny eraser box, 2 carving tools, scissors with those zig-zag cuts, etc.

when it is lunch time, all the tools go into a straw-woven box about 12x25 cm.

I like to use stickers on my mail-art. Even ordered complete roles at the NSD (National Printing Shop of the Government) to use for the TAM-Rubberstamp Archive.
