Rod, please give Anna a hug for me, we have corresponded for amost 16 years I am enjoying her 'wire memoranda', the tree looks like what we call a pussywillow. I corresponded with Bruno too, not as long though. What fun.

Rod... I con't believe that we've ever corresponded... but of course, I've seen your name in the network for the past 20 odd years. Thanks for sharing your wonderful journey. Please say "hello" to Anna Boschi (we met in New York a couple of years ago). Say "Hi" to Bruno Capatti as well (I've never met him).
Thank you again...

We went to the vegetable market before we had breakfast. So many of the vegetable look delicious it is difficult to decide what to buy each day, but, after examining each stall, we eventually chose for fresh peas. Home for breakfast, Liz had a boiled egg I had cheese and ham with toasted white bread.
For Liesbet’s first day in Venice I decided she should see San Marc’s square, so in fine weather we made our way there via the Rialto Bridge and the red haired lady in the newspaper kiosk to that place where tourists gather in flocks of inestimable size. The red haired lady in the newspaper kiosk is well pleased with the photo CD I gave her. The friendliness of the Venetians is remarkable.
Last week Ever Arts asked me to make a photo of the Italian Sparrow, the Sparrow is my Birdlander persona (I wanted to be an Albatross but Johan wouldn’t let me be anything so grand), so I put a small piece of bread in a paper bag and when the opportunity arose to sit in a park with shrubs where the presence of Sparrows was audible, Liz and me sat on a bench and I took the bag from my pocket, within a minute a Sparrow came to ask if I needed any help getting the bag open! He, a most handsome fellow, posed for me whilst I took several photos. If you want to know the distinguishing difference between a north European Passer Domesticus and the Italian Sparrow… ask Johan!
I made over 100 photos on our four hour walk today, many of them are really fine, Liz helped me to make the selection here under.
How time flies when you are enjoying yourself.
