Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Hey folks - I've set up a 365 group on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/644267488944667/?fref=ts - join up!

Yeah definitely worth setting up an FB group. What a great idea! I'm glad I brought it up! Thanks Angie. I remember the early days when everyone was throwing in ideas like Alphabet february (which continues to this day). Definitely think mini-challenges to break down the task into small sections is a good idea

Some great points Angie. I think there probably needs to be a threshold for entry as it does seem like a great idea from a distance, but people get quickly intimidated. I've actually been actively putting people off from diving into a 365 as their very first contact with mailart as I think that unless your heart is in it 365 can be offputting

Ahoy there! I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how we can keep people motivated to complete 365 pieces?

I have been getting a lot of signups lately who don't even bother to get started and I wondered if there is more that we, as a group could do to encourage people to complete the whole 365.

I would even be pleased if people got to 100, as it's rather frustrating to get signups who seem so keen, only to make 1 piece and disappear!

LOL, I know Rachel, it's so crazy. Thanks, Laura. And thanks for sending the card. Pamela Gerard alerted me to the newspaper article on the incident, which I read. Just awful but I think our cards will be a good thing for this young man to receive.

Mim, have a great time. Can't believe you only have 36 left, congrats. By the way sent off mail art to Sacha this morning. Have a great turkey day, Laura

We're off on Holiday again - a few days at the beach even though it's chilly! 30F = -1c brrrrr We'll be by the Atlantic ocean almost to the tip of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I've packed my traveling Mail Art kit and a few scraps and will post to our blog using my Intelligent Phone. Hopefully that'll work from the remote area we'll be in, if not, I'll post when I return. Folks, I'm getting down to the end - only 36 more cards to make and then my last 365 Mail Art series will come to an end. Hopefully Others will carry on! Happy Food Centric day of giving thanks to those of you in the U.S. of A.

Yes indeed Andy - met Chris, Vic and Martha at the Morpeh Arms and mucked about making mailart. Lovely people. Pity you and Elena couldn't join us. Am keeping an eye on your blog - loved the English on a plate idea. Hope it's going well. Rebecca - cloth postcard is beautiful. Just received one myself and will blog soon.
