Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Thanks, Mim!  By the way, your card arrived yesterday, as did the address part of it -- not connected to each other!  They must have slipped apart en route with the mail carrier.  :)

Will send to your Mom, Boo.  She's up there with my mom, in age.

I've been out of the loop for two months with depression and sick dogs and one thing and another -- but I'm posting now in hopes y'all will help us celebate my mother's 90th birthday with her.  Our goal?  90 cards, of course!  If you can, please drop her a bit of art/birthday note/glad tidings some time during the month of May.  Usually when i visit I read all of her mail to her, so your offerings will be enjoyed time after time.  Please send to Mrs. J. B. Cartledge, Meadowview, 83 High Street, Seville OH 44273 USA.

I'd be so grateful, and Mother will enjoy every last one!  Thank you.

The price hike hit me too. I stocked up on loads of 1st and 2nd class stamps, but airmail has me being extra careful - I've had to send the heavier stuff within Europe to keep the costs down. It's been quite a relief to find some more UK based artists to exchange with too, though that's a whole other ball game of complicated measuring. *sigh*

We suffer for our art ;-P

I know what you mean Rebecca. I bought 200 stamps in early April because the price hike of over a third scared the pants off me. By the way, I got your book in the post! Thanks it was really timely as I opened it last night with my colleague from IYAF and she's really keen to get one made for our show. Thanks for the inspiration!

Yes I did Sarah! If I'm not mistaken I believe I took these on a walk with me recently to Kent, so they will probably be up on www.myrealwall.com shortly
