No Angie, unfortunately it is not image transfer, I was afraid I would ruin it if I tried that :S Sorry. I printed it on waxy paper so that it was more transparent. It will be in the mail today with a set of new starters if that's ok with you!
no erin, i don't believe it's taiwan. i'm pretty sure it came out of some time life books i picked up cheap at a second bookstore recently. i left some behind which i wish i hadn't though. and of course now they are gone.
some great work! denise, love the giant bees. btw, sent out starters to some of the people in the list i hadn't yet.
I received mail from both Judy and Fleur today. Thank you both for the fantastic starters, and your gorgeous work on the ATC's that I sent you. I can't wait to jam on your starters and will post pictures when I've got something.
As I mentioned, I use watercolor paper [Arches and some others 12 x 9 blocks], but mainly because I like to use wet media [acrylics and inks] along with collaged materials. I usually let things sit for a day or two to dry and stretch out any buckling. However, as Angie pointed out, any substrate is acceptable, it's up to the artist. Metal, wood, paper, bone, whatever . . . it just boils down to that standard 2.5" x 3.5" measurement* . . . there are some variations of sizes [smaller/bigger] but the *64 mm × 89 mm size is standard due to the standard size of all trading cards, i.e., baseball, football, cars, muppets, etc.. Go wild.
i just use playing cards. i like the thickness and they are usually the perfect size.
Thank you for the template! the file folders are a good idea. I didn't even think of he cereal boxes. Thank you :)
