Angie, I don't think Denise has an photos online. The next time I talk to her I'll ask her about it :) I'd like to know how she made it as well.
ERIN - Yay! I'm really looking forward to seeing the return of the starter I sent you and seeing the new ones too. Collaborations are SO much fun! Thanks Angie for getting e going on this :)
ANGIE - your trio with Judy and William is beautiful!
WILLIAM - YES!! Thanks William. I'd love to have a trio from you to work on. After you send them to me, and after I add to them, how do I know who to send them to next?
ANGIE & LINDA - Wow! I love how y'all have saved your collections so organized. I wish I had all along. One of these days I WILL pull out all my ATC's, postcards, and awesome envelopes and make them an organized collection. I don't have near the amount you do Angie, but maybe someday I will.
My teacher who got me into the mail art world (Denise Souray) has a scrapbook, she brought it into class and she keeps all her mail art in it, it's a bunch of pockets that you can pull each piece out and look at without having it in a plastic sleeve. I'll have to ask her how she made it one day.
I do the same with my ATCs. I found a 3-ring binder with lightly padded covers at a thrift shop and added the trading card pages. Do you think those 3-pocket photo pages might work for postcards? I think I have some full sheet page protectors, too. Angie, I agree with wanting to see both sides of things.
Holy Bananas!! Angie that's a lot of ATC's!! What a wonderful collection! I'm jealous!
For me, I save every envelope and I keep all mail art and ATC's in the envelopes they were sent in, and I keep them in a box... I don't know how to make fabulous scrapbooks, and scrapbooks to fit different sizes of mail art so I keep them in a box... for now.
Just want to share with all of you what I'm doing with a few of the amazing envelopes that come my way. These 4 are from an envelope from Keith Chambers. I'm regarding the two on the top as finished by Keith, the other two as starters for me to finish as a collaboration. I look at my ATC album all the time, so I'll see them over and over. Sometimes I just don't want a great envelope to just get lost in my mailart file box. This is one way to keep the life going.
My next plan is to start building albums of other wonderful mailart I receive. Gorgeous postcards and other terrific stuff. I still don't have an idea for all my little handmade books.
How do the rest of you handle your mailart?
Thank you, Erin. I still see the other, too. Also, I can't seem to delete the larger one. I will try a little trick.
i can only see the second picture too and it's quite small. cutting envelopes or slitting them in half so they form one page and putting them into albums sounds like a good way to display them so you can easily see them(i'm not sure if you were suggesting that) - at least for the more interesting envelopes. i like looking through my growing binder of ATCs as well.
I can only see one pic, the second one.
How's that? Can you see 2 sets of images, one large and one small, or just one, or none?
