Here's "Song Bird," a lovely and richly-layered card from Denise Woodward. A real treat!

Erin, I understand your frustration and anger about the postal service! It seems more and more agencies are dropping more services to their public and then demanding more for themselves...money, time off, whatever the case might be. More money for less work. And who pays in the end? The consumer! It would be a nice gesture if they would extend the lease on all the PO boxes if they do go on strike. If they don't, people might be up in arms and demand it. It will be quite the job sorting through the tons of mail that will no doubt pile up in the warehouse if they strike. It's not going to be a pretty picture all the way around. You have my sympathy on this situation, that's for sure!!! I'll think positive thoughts ... that they don't go on strike.

Terry, the workers have been in labor disputes for a few years and because they are a union they have said that if they don't come to an agreement they will lock our the employees. They told the government to come up with some kind of plan to put in place for when they go on strike so that people receive their government cheque and what have you. All mail that is sent to Canada will come to a halt July 1 if they haven't come to an agreement. Everything will be sent to a warehouse during that time. After the strike is over they will begin to sort and filter the mail out to be delivered. I'm pissed for a couple reasons. 1. Obviously not receiving mail art. And 2. I have a p.o.box, I'm paying for a service that they won't be providing and I will most likely have to eat that bill. I think they should extend my lease along with everyone else's lease at the end of year. Cause that BS. It's expensive to lease a p.o.box and to not have access to it. Pisses me off. I don't understand why they are striking. They get paid like 25-30$ an hour has all government holidays off and don't work weekends along with benefits. They also stopped door to door delivery. Ugh

Amy, the trades from Roger are awesome. I'm going to check out the FB group. I assume it's the same name, i.e. ATC Rebels? Like I NEED any more swaps! What AM I thinking?! :-)

Amy, your "What to do" with the bear is so clever! I really like it.

Erin, thanks for the word about the mail in Canada. I can't begin to imagine no mail for up to two months! What would happen, I wonder, to the mail that IS sent while they are on strike? I should it would arrive eventually.  I've never heard of a mail strike but then, anything is possible I guess. I did have an envelope ready to go that has been sitting here for a week. Maybe it just wasn't supposed to be mailed. I'll hold off on it until I hear.
