I guess I started drawing comic book characters when I was about 11, & gradually branched into other mediums, primarily watercolors with ink. Mail Art is a recent discovery for me. I joined IUOMA in June of 2010.
To see the world through other people's eyes, & share my perception of it with them. My work is greatly influenced by music, whether it be the imagery of lyrics, or what I happen to be listening to while working. As a result most of my pieces have either lyrics or song titles written on the back. If you are so inclined to see how the transition from sound to sight occurs, most of the songs can be found on YouTube.

I am notoriously bad at scanning & posting the mail-art I recieve. This piece came a few weeks ago from Michalis Kotsaris in Greece. How this was done is beyond me, but I have spent many cups of coffee staring at it. Thank you Michalis! -AWJ-
I recieved this watercolor card from Marie, with a note on the back, explaining that is was her first experiment with watercolors. I have to say great job, & I love having it in my collection. Thanks again Marie!…
Sometimes we know right away that the gnomes haven't succeeded. Other times we find out a few weeks later. Other times we find out a few months later. Other times we never find out. It can leave a person in wonder. It's so much like the rest of life, isn't it! :--}
