retrieval (traces on rock)

In dreams where my nightmares ride on shoe boxes and
Anonymous crusaders fight white with flimsy metal coat hangers
Breasts are exposed as milky as a dandy lion.
Where once trod worthy men, no trend to buck
No pound worth pawning one’s flesh for,
Never grounded, now glides the counter magnate;
Faeces Saturate,
If we could change the predictability of Adaptation’s strict regime
He would copyright both tick and tock.
Even the deep end cool has iced out. Don’t dive.
Another sign to read before deciding to ignore it.

One page for me, a capstone-less column for the mega fiddler.
Location, location, vocation.
The power that spins the grindstone is atom engendered
No one escapes the spark shower.
New Planets please! And Gustav, make it snappy!

III
There was a time it was my wish
To once become a shaman
There was a time I wished to believe
I had become a shaman.
Then came a time when
I could funnel rain from an occluded front
At the crack of my speedy will,
when I could feel the jostling forebears,
trace history in their breath,
trace the place in the cosmic waiting room
where I will sit with them
building temporary monuments as
reminders of what has been lost
and what we stand to lose.

And by their whispered stories
Of truths that they determined
They now demand to know
Why we have not learned from the mistakes they made.

nice the new pictures. No sweat, I drink water from plastic bottles, the canals smell like sewers which i guess is what they are, I don't eat the fish, the water from the taps is piped down from the Alps and makes good tea, once boiled of course. Believe me the only good water in the whole of Europe is in Iceland and that is half way over to you!
My wife arrived today so it's a farewell to solitude and twice the dishes to wash up.
The light here makes up for the quality of the water... well you have seen the photos
best greetings

Thanks for the blog, your sentiments and mine are similar, time travelers in a lost world of long ago, visiting for a time, a short time on earth. I will end

My pal,
no photos of Zack, never met him and no idea how to transfer VHS to digital. With audio I record to pc to get the wave file and then have to clean out the hiss and noise as best as possible, but David's tapes were of the poorest quality and very lo-fi, but I can't imagine him doing it any other way. I noticed on Rod Summers page he mentioned you live in a teepee, is that true or metaphorical? I lived in a yurt in Bowdoinham, Me for over a year.

Dear Medwolf,
I have no way of copying the tapes, but I did transfer the best one to digital and will send you a copy soon, it takes abit of work for the packaging. The other few I have a just tape letters, but this has the 'cacatwixl' on it. I did alot of mail art in the early to late 80's, helped keep the government going with all those extra taxes paid!

Dear Medwolf,
I used to get tapes from Zack, nice letters and lo-fi recording of him playing and singing, one song about a 'cacatwixl' stands out. Pittore once told me that David ran into some trouble about cashing checks and was in a prison in Mexico the next thing I heard was he was dead. Every once in a while I give them a listen and laugh. Nice to shake your hand as Bart Boumans used to say, after all these years.

Hello dear Medwolf,
Something in the form of an explanation regarding D.Z. has been on it's way to you for about a week now. You should realize it's arrival quite soon. He just may be languishing in the 4th Dimension and with good reason. My fondest hope is that you may return to the Island and renew your search for clues here. Can't really promise anything in this public forum, but your presence here will , I can assure you, always be welcomed. There are many mysteries to be solved here or at least to be puzzled over and a man with your brand of skills would be a prize we can hardly do without.
Happy hunting, Test.

Dear MedWolf, Greetings,

Went to yur web site, "Lost Art Pixzo" & Nice Poetry. but lots of
Clutter from Adds or some such Gumnt inteference. Ha. Tried to
e-mail you in the tiny box, but to no avail. I will put here, as I remember
how long theese typing areas are:
Kenneth Patchen Taught Charles Buckowski how to Check for
Guns, that come through the Post Offices. Apparently, a .45 Mag
got Through, or maybe he bought it Locally, as seems the case,
but anyway, Stacking Trout Streams got to him, & there you go.

What Elloquence!... Keep at it. Robert Frost suggested the
Path not taken, & his little Pony, but it was Mules that weren't
w/ me when I hitchiked across the Great Wonderful Canada. HA
. From your address, I guess you are up there. Moose Jaw, Medicine
Hat, Saskatchuan, Wow. nice, but only spent some day shuffled
around in VanCouver BoxCar, & then didn't go, so had to climb back
up the embankment, & put my thumb out. Ha! efhigginsiii.com

Love to swap some stories...

Sincerely, Higggins

I can't remember who gave the last news on Dave Oz, but it was much as you have heard, fraud got him imprisoned. There was something about him becoming very sick with an infection to his legs and for that reason the mexicans dumped him over the border and he was admitted to a Texan vetrans hospital where he died. I have a mass of stuff from him in the archive, letters, correspondance novels and audio cassettes. I wish I could remember who last gave me news, could have been kantor, or perhaps John Held. Oz was a friend of Lon Spiegelman who is also well represented in the VEC archive. We can look it through when you visit.
Your mail arrived in Maastricht today, Liz waved the envelope in front of the Skypeing webcam this evening.
I need to pack and go to bed, i cross the country tomorrow. best greetings
