Holiday "gifts" arriving from Sante Fe, New Mexico

David Stafford sent a huge package with vintage pages from old magazines:

and BLUE, too! The upper center one is from May,1927 Ladies Home JOURNAL! Wow!

Many, many fantastic vintage "mail art omens" to be had here...

from 1930, 1939, 1940 up to the 1950's!

Who remembers when toothpaste was "Ipana"?

And automobile ads...great fun to see,

a Cadillac in winter :-)

me thinks Ed Giecek would love to have these :-)

But "fashion" is the most popular,

and so to create some fun winter mail art in the New Year!

Thank you sooooo much, David,(love the "Greek touch"!)

I am enchanted,

and spending "vintage time" reading and looking at all these treasures.

Happy Holidays! xxx

You culled some of the best for viewing, Katerina. To view the entire collection of weirdness see the site of many wonders.

'Tis a great gift for Christmas, thanks David!

How this about ad for an "exotic" place (like Istanbul? Morocco?)...for ciggies?

Hee, he...ok we were hardly in kindergarten, and Ipana came as powder in a metal can container, too!

Uh oh, I remember Ipana, Kat. But I was very little. And so were you.

You're welcome. Glad they arrived in time for the holidays.
