Trashpo Snooky from Angie

Yes, and I'd say it's both, because there is proof that some trash is included in this piece by Angie. Not tons, but it doesn't take tons. It's an excellent haptic trashpo collage… Continue

Recently Received Bounty... Great Thanks

My home internet connectivity was having troubles of late.  The service technician came this morning to fix the problem (hurray!) so I am posting here several recent wonderful mail pieces that have arrived in my mailbox.

The magnificent Eduardo Cardosa sent some “Mind Bending” Paranormal Poste.  Enclosed: TWO great pieces! And I loved them both… one a minimalist deconstruction of Roman letter character(s).  Several serif appendages line up to create a new re-assembled…

What a fluffy ball of fur this Daisy, so cute! Angie, I don't know what you're talking about, she doesn't look a thing like a monkey :-)) I was wondering, does she have special skills like Snooker the amazing mail art dog? Is she also a canis scannus? This soft nuzzle is oh so welcome, thank you so much Angie!

(sorry for this unnecessarily dusty scan)

Corgi Feet decopatch card - from Angie and Snooky

My scanner be damned again, I don't think you can fully appreciate the textures of this card, unfortunately. This is the second mail I was lucky to receive from Angie and Co, and if I'm not mistaken it is a "give what you get" in answer to my…

Received: Halloween mail-art from Snooky (Port Washington, Wisconsin, USA)

October 24, 2010 - How many countries in the mail-art network celebrate Halloween? All Snooky knows is they do in Wisconsin, and it's sometimes not as much fun for dogs as it is for humans. Yet Angie Cope's amazing mail-art dog - who has graduated from scanning to become a practicing artist in his own right - is in the spirit and sending out some wonderful mail-art (above). Pictured… Continue

Received: Mail art from Angie Cope and STAMMER FETISH anti-art recipe (Port Washington, Wisconsin, USA)

September 21, 2010 - Angie Cope sent me mail art - we're on round two - and it lifted my spirits in a very dark time. First, is the piece above which I think represents Angie's dog Snooky who is rapidly becoming a mail art icon. But I think it gets even better than that. The pieces below…

Received: Meta-mailart from "Fluxus Angie" Cope (Wisconsin, USA)

August 16, 2010: In email messages prior to sending me this piece, Angie Cope stated her intention of pushing the boundaries of the collage style she has developed, particularly with an eye toward Fluxus. We both share an interest in Fluxus; and IUOMA has among its members many practicing Fluxus artists from whom we can learn and have dialogues. In this piece, I see not only some Fluxus-derived elements but also styles and tendencies represented among…
