Nuit Blanche Toronto- The Life Long Burning Question Project

The idea was to send out as many postcards randomly to as many people as possible and they would  return  them with their Life Long Burning Question. The postcards were then hung up in a gallery space which allowed the public to read the questions and answer them. The postcards would then be sent back to the participants after Nuit…

Reçu de Valentine Moby Herman, France etc--Schema D'un Panneu de Comptage

Not a machine for the masses, I'd say. Using this thing requires skill, sobriety, and a penchant for knowing which way is up in order to avoid getting your eyebrows singed, fingers cut, and all the good will this world can muster fried in the Drone Zone. A masterpiece if there ever was one, Monsieur Herman. Merci!…

This is numbered '3' so I assume it's one of a series. This is so beautiful in person. The background is gold and she has managed to print over it with the asemics being in the negative space-really great thank you Rebecca!

Mucho mail art from the gals, too!

Super beautiful collage from Karen Champlin, as always! And my favorite detail: map fragment! (Well that bird, vintage train schedule, and poem are all tops, too!). But location must be Ohio, yes? Youngstown, Ohio? And that train from Boston to Braintree...let the imagination travel. Thank you, Karen!…

Catching up again - Received from Katerina Nikoltsou, Karen Champlin, Torma Cauli

Katerina sends greetings from Paris. Lucky us, she brought her mail art "equipment" to France, and she even carved a special "Paris" rubber stamp for the occasion. Thank you for always thinking about us, Katerina, this is much appreciated!

Received: minimal art from prettylily

A cool piece, with a slight problem: The problem? The piece of screening had fallen off in the envelope, and Sue didn't remember where it goes. She had written on the back: "Simple enough yet? Ha, ha, still working on it." At first I took that to mean she is still working on going minimal, then, second-guessing, thought maybe she *meant* for me to finish it, with her "Ha, ha,… Continue

Received from Dean Marks, France--Unofficial, Unlicensed, and Unauthorized

A gentle, kinder kind of anarchy. Katerina's partner in crime, Mark has sent me a couple of fantastic mail art pieces. This first one, in black and white, confesses that "He's got a Daytime Job He's doing alright." That's saying a lot these days. I like the doo-hinky buttons/keys and MR OFF is wonderful.…
