Received from Dean Marks, France--Unofficial, Unlicensed, and Unauthorized

A gentle, kinder kind of anarchy. Katerina's partner in crime, Mark has sent me a couple of fantastic mail art pieces. This first one, in black and white, confesses that "He's got a Daytime Job He's doing alright." That's saying a lot these days. I like the doo-hinky buttons/keys and MR OFF is wonderful.

I think Paul Bunyon Rocks too. He was a lumberjack folklorish sort of bloke here in America. Had a blue ox for a pet named Babe. They say he was buried here in Minnesota, but who really knows. Embrace the mystery, I say. Dean's next piece is VARIATION ON A BARCODE OP. 031:

Dean ponders the future of barcodes and remains optimistic that they will always have their place in art. Ain't that the truth! though it may take me the rest of my life to make use of this knowledge. Thanks so much for these fun and engaging cards, Dean. Glad to know you're doing alright. There is after all, only one day at a time here at IUOMA.

Merci beaucoup,CB. Pouvez-vous imaginer que j'ai passé deux semaines en France et je ne peux pas parler français? Me classically in Seine!

Moby...are you heading up to Paris? Save your pennies, er, euro, for February, ya hear?

Bonsoir Bifidus, Non, c'est un free choice art model. Vous avez les possibilité de choose between les deux ecoles, or, of course, un autre school that tickles votre fancy.

With Dean anything goes, and does.

There is a second school of French artists that rivals 'In Seine'.

It is named after its founder, 'JE Sweefoo', who sometimes masquerades as a Croque Monsieur.
