Dear friends, new lymph to mail art on the same path opened by the Creativa festival, with a project that renews its disruptive charge: let’s free mail art! That is, any member of the audience will be free to take home the favorite mail art piece, with the only clause that a postcard is sent to the author. We will make a list of participants and we will document the show.
The “Beyond the limits” association of Rignano sull'Arno (Florence) invites you to…

Borderline Grafix's colorful mixed media postcard (above) is made of heavy water paper, photo, paint and tape. Rebecca's classy quilted trashpo is made of plastic bags, ink, thread and little crayon. Besides two wonderful artworks I think Rebecca's Jane Austen…

On display at VCU library right now - work by people we "know" from our Mail Art and Fluxus communities. I was surprised and delighted to see it. I've posted photos on my photo page.

A bit of a plea from me!
I would like to present at Ignite London on the subject of mail art and I'd like your help!
Ignite presentations are 5 minutes long - there must be 20 slides and automatic transitions at 15 seconds per slide.
They are all about the images, the stories, the quotes. So I'm asking you - what was the favourite piece you've ever received, how does receiving art in the post make you feel and most…

This piece arrived innocently enough, the way all the mail does. But each of my kids individually was inexorably drawn to look at it and was terrified. What is it ? they asked. It's a Dkult Kween from Not Hi Ng, I said. This bit of trashpo is painted cardboard. She/He even has holes in his/her ears that look lijke gauges. This must be a portrait of All Beef Patty, from Dkults Tuesday night drag show. Too bad DKult insurance doesn't cover dental.…

A really amazing miniature art quilt. I am in awe of anyone who can sew; my talent is limited to drawing blood while attempting to treading the needle.

I’m not exactly sure if this counts as mail art or not? I mailed the work…so I guess it does count. What we have here is an EP by my “band,” Nostrils. It’s basically a way for me to put together sound and act like a musician, a musician without…

Just unbelieveable what a glorious package we got from Bill at Olathe Poste! We are on Spring Break this week, so the kids haven't seen this yet, but are they in for a treat-a mail art care package of artistamps in a envelope just covered with fascinating marks of all stripes-so much to show! I cannot wait to hand these out like Halloween candy next Monday. I will pass them out with postcards and encourage mail art round two for some, round one for the last two classes. (Though my son is on…
