Aladdin Seine, Karen Champlin, Carina Granlund & Thom Courcelle

Our friend in Paris, known only as Aladdin Seine, has painted his masterpiece. It arrived today. What may not be clear from the photo is that the white cottony mittens contain human fingers replicated in modern age plastic. Beneath the mitten is a neatly dissected Kleenex box that creates the powerful illusion of a dog resting his…

Life is a Blur — The Light-Trick Photography of Rebecca Resinski

Rebecca Sent me a terrific envelope of mailart that included some of her experimental photography and a lovely little visual poetry accordion boekie:

If that photo looks a bit blurry, it's because that's the "look" Rebecca was going for when she took a camera shot of some forested woods on a morning walk.  She had to "trick" her camera into…

A long-over-due posting of some Greek mailart greetings that included Holiday well-wishes and celebratory New Year's cupcakes...from Katerina Nikoltsou!

in Moscow

A book of poems by the American poet Barrett Watten (born October 3, 1948) in Russian translation has been published in Moscow. He is the editor of “This” magazine, one of the main publications of the language movement, and co-editor of the “Poetry Journal”. In Russia, his book was published by the independent publishing house "Polyphemus", and compiled by Vladimir Feshchenko. I hope to get to the presentation of this book on Friday.
