And it is interesting looking at from different angles / vantage points. At times, to me, it looks kind of map-like, which i enjoy too...

I wanted to make an unusual gift for a dear friend. And fed in her love of letters and post. (I myself love post, envelope, stamps and indeed, papers of all kinds).

I got a friend to save her envelopes of letters, cards and so on over many months. As I wanted to make a special gift for her. I collaged the used envelopes, trying to include aspects of her anme, address and post-marks, frankings and so on ; and the various stamps- some from various countries.

I attached to a canvass and then worked various paints into it. I have enjoyed seeing various images 'emerge' as I worked into it over time. I was only able to scan it in sections and not in its entirety.
