Two successful methods as far as I'm concerned in arriving at meaning :-)

Drawing and then painting over the drawing...in other words each frame is a painting....like I say...it just boggles the mind the amount of work involved...I've done some single frame animation and it's painstakingly slow...

Were those the movies created through drawing and then erasing? He is also a wonderful man :-).  I think you gave me the compliment of the year!

I saw a show of his at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art a couple of years ago. Overwhelming....how can one person be so talented and diverse? Deadly serious and yet funny....and the work involved in those movies....yikes...boggles the mind.
