We too used to feed the birds but the DEER kept emptying the feeders and I quit. THEN... the deer started eating our flowers and I couldn't grow roses, clematis, hosta, virginia creeper, etc. THEN... Ta Da! I became aware of "Deer Stopper" a deer-repelling preparation and it seems to work very well. I now have 5, echinacea blossoms. I put it on about every month.

Thanx for sharing. ....plus too, I feed the birds as well, & of course, the squirrels participate as well (& so do the chipmunks... & zip ... very quickly the daily offering is almost all gone...late night I've even seen opossums) but haven't seen any rats (but logic tells me that surely they must be about somewhere?).. I've often wondered..... is it really a good idea to assist mother nature in this way????....all these creatures seem to to be depending on my habits. No one seems to appreciate my chili though. ...& so it goes or doesn't. Richard C.
