I just reorganized my artspace to make more room for more works in progress. 1 Reply

I work on many pieces simultaneously - not just mail art: paper, mixed media, collage, panels- and I had run out of space to place incomplete work as it dries. So I built a storage rack with many shelves, shown here in the back corner. Now my…Continue

Ha! Yeah, what messy stuff!!?? It's all art!!

I share a house with my sister who is also an artist, we have our own areas and don't have to tidy work away so it's perfect. She's more of a minimalist, which means she can walk through her space without climbing over things, something to which I aspire.  ;-)

wow I love it, I feel extremely in good fellowship !But if you don't live alone in the house or don't have a separate studio ,the cotenants will not bear very much  the messy stuff ..... (what messy stuff? ihih)

this was what I found when I shifted my table to the other end of the room.

Yikes, I really don't know what I've gotten myself into!!

lol - indeed! 'Tis hefty...

Actually those are boxes for Japanese Bonsai shears and small butting shears. I have them on the wall - you can see them to the right of the bookshelves:

Wow, chinese painting stuff, i must get mine out and dust it. I love the metal book, not for light reading in the train though...

Yup. My workspace is actually part of my room.I played w/ the digital camera for the 1st time yesterday, so I'll be posting a lot of pics I imagine!

On the right side of this pic you can see one of the metal books I made when I last had a metals studio (damn I miss it!!!)

Lol - yes, works well indeed Martha!

Cleo, we have the same arrangement, when a chair on wheels serves for two tables, the digital workspace and the traditional one. It works well and enjoy gliding from one to the other.

Vizma I think it is the thick layer of dust gone that makes more space, I find the same since I vacuumed too. Will have to do it more often, in about five years this time.
