What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

I'm loving all of the mailart that I have been receiving from this group.  Will have to start a "real wall" soon.

Katerina, Thanks for the explanation of the Greek alphabet.  Could have googled it, but you explain it much better.

Welcome to all the new folks!  This friendly, creative group that has a lot of fun.  Starting late is motivating.

Oh man- I've been hearing about this project from other Mail Artists forever, but only got around to joining now. Oh well, guess I'll just have to create hella Mail Art to catch up with y'all!

Yup I agree - you number them as you please! I've sent 2  pieces at once as envelope and contents in the past. It's mailart, it's up to you as Mim says!

By the way, I've just seen the badges contest - I definitely want one, but may not have the time to make a video. I'll give it a try this weekend, but anyone who wants to make one, do go ahead!

Good point, Mim:

You make art, you mail it, it is mail art!  And it is great fun, too!

A few, like Sue Bowen, have commented on the new mail art I am making for the Greek alphabet, thank you for the nice comments! One question: how many letters in the Greek alphabet? There are 24: Alpha to Omega!  However, as you will soon see, I had to spread one letter out to many mail art cards, and then to many days...especially later for "K" (kappa) and for "M" (me). Today for " Γ " gamma, I made three cards! ( not too unlike Mim last month!). After "Ω" omega, I will add the "combined-letters", ones that when put together make a sound for a letter that is not in the Greek alphabet, like "B" as in "bar", or "D" as in Dubai, and there is no "J", so we combine tz. All that to come, and fill all 31 days of March!

It's Mail Art, you make the rules, count as you wish. It's art, it's mailed, it's Mail Art.

i have a question, in all my works i create a Mail Art piece and decorated  also the envelope, so i can count it to the 365? if the case, would then have two works, of course it would not put all the envelopes, only the best...
