Who wants these three ATCS. The first responding, they are for him.

I previously posted a request for ATC's to be sent to a school social worker; I had sent her a package of cards, and I just wanted to let you read her lovely thank you note -- art does build bridges!

Emily!
Thank you so very much for the mail art and the atc’s you sent in the mail to me!!!
They are gorgeous!
I so appreciate your note and will share that with the kids as well....how fun it is to be thoughtful and kind to strangers.
I want to thank you also for contacting friends.
What a blessing you are!
Thanks again!

Thanks Carla...I am looking forward to receving your art...your websites was one of the first ones I found when I started investigating mail art...it was very inspiring

I have participated in the Sister Trading Cards many times...but isn't the Copy Left on hold right now?

Wackystuff...your mail art packages rock...lots of interesting art in many different manifestations

This was in my inbox and I thought I would pass it along here:

Em:
I was researching atc's for a class that I am doing with students for stress and worry management. I am a school social worker in a school that contains alot of economically disadvantaged families. I am offering a class on atc's to help the kids find some solace in art. I am also doing a support group for military kids and am hopeful that the atc's will help the kids deal with the stress and worry about their military parent.

anyway, I was wondering if you would have some samples that you could possibly send so they could see all the possibilities that atc's hold. I have contacted some companies about some possible donations too...so they have some fun materials to work with. If you are interested...please let me know.

You can send them to me at

That is the school address where I work. Thanks for considering this request!!!!!
Take care
Karla

Interesting that you say that - it used to be the other way around! That's why Kat ended up starting that group. But, come to think of it, now that ATCs have gotten more popular, there are more women than men who seem to be trading them. Fascinating! I hadn't thought it through till I read your response (!). Thanks for the insight. :)

How do you guys (males) feel about Sister Trading Cards? It's identical to the Copy Left Edition project but only females can participate?

Hey, cool! I just saw your comment under Art School Dropout on your Flickr page - thanks so much! :)

I am making a series of cards right now using partial prints of my carved stamps in ways I haven't considered before, by the way.
