INTERNATIONAL MAIL ART PROJECT ABOUT WOMEN

About Women, The international Mail Art Project presents its complete collection for the first time in Barcelona. More than 2000 postcards sent by more than 500 artists and creatives from all over the world continue their itinerancy to continue generating bridges of communication and reflection between art and society.

As a parallel event, Yo Mujer, an international collective exhibition will be presented to complement the feminine visual impact, as well as to give visibility and diffusion to talented artists, especially those linked to this collaborative project that has already traveled through several cities in Spain, Colombia and Holland.

Why I am involved in Mail-Art:: With this collective has done installations in different centers
exhibition in the world with the main theme of women in a new way of seeing and
society to reflect on art, gender and multiculturalism.
Looking for a new approach to the many and varied ways of being women and this
through the eyes of artists from different cultures and social level.
Calls seeking that difference of view, as well men as women, children and
adults as part of a new structure that we communicate together.
Through the mail art will define a more feminine identity today, feel like a woman
as a cultural, biological and historical.

This call is in collaboration also with Guenda Mai a grad student at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. All the works recived by the artist will rapresent an important sourse for her thesis paper.

All the material will be exhibited at the Visioni Altre gallery in Venice from 15 to 30 January 2021, and then will be kept in the archive of Visioni Altre for future events.
