Don't forget to send Mim a bike ...or two...or more :-)

UCI Road World Championships come to Richmond VA

From September 19 to 27, 2015, Richmond, Virginia, USA, will host an amazing event for bicyclists. The cyclists will come from all over the world. I'm very excited about this. The prediction is that we'll have 450,000 visitors to our small city during that time.  Read about itHERE.

So, what does a Mail Artist do? She starts a Mail Art call! I've enlisted two venues, so far, where work will be displayed in West Main Village  and Carytown near the routes or where visitors will circulate. I'd love to have lots and lots of Mail Art to exhibit.

I'll be posting entries on this blog, as they arrive in the post.

Theme: Bicycles (of course)
size: standard postcard (preferred)
No jury, no return, family friendly only
Include your name, e-mail address, website/blog if you have one, so
I can notify you when your piece is posted.

Deadline: September 1, 2015

send to:
2422 Floyd Ave
Richmond, VA 23220-4410

mail-art call for the 1st exhibition of TRAssshART:

            From trash to ART!

Artists from around the world are invited to participate in this exhibition by making mail-art from leftovers of their artwork…

Clean your desktop, unclutter your studio, your sewingroom.... and make some art!

You can use anything and assemble it in less than 15 minutes... it isn’t trash anymore......

ssssshhhh.......I’ll tell you: it’s ART!

Send it by regular mail, as a card, a TRAssshARTcard or in an enveloppe... or the enveloppe is the art....

use your imagination, as long as it fits in my mailbox.

All works will be exhibited during november 2015 in the former postoffice of the village Oud-Beijerland (near Rotterdam)

and online at:

You can send your TRAssshART (made of old artwork) to

Rossinistraat 52

2807 HK Gouda

the Netherlands

deadline for participating in the first exhibition: oktober 20th 2015

but there is no deadline for future exhibitions, so keep cleaning your workspace!
