last monday i sent out all booklets, some of you should be getting it...i hope. :-)

i was inspired by Joan Brossa, catalan multitalented artist and visual poet, who's work i greatly admire. as his bio goes " for him, expression had priority over content, and he managed to give his poetry the appearance of plays on words"............."his literary and plastic works which often appeared as satirical, cutting, ironic and critical or, on other occasions, irreverent yet playful" and this is the aspect i connect the most with his work and philosophy of life. if you'd like to explore his work check this link:

TICTAC - this is WONDERFUL!!! Thank you for posting images - you know how long it takes to get stuff to the bottom of the world! AND thank you for the reference - I know this artist and am also a HUGE admirer - good choice :-) X

"But I do believe that the writer who really connects, who has things to say and the means of saying them, is above the fashions. For me, the saddest thing is to be a success and nothing more, because the queue is long and there's somebody else right behind you". From an interview with Brossa.

yes that's Brossa...original and opposite to fashions, an antipoet. he also wrote beautiful poetry."be a poet is a compendium between being subversive and magician." humour and play are inseparable elements in his poetry together with the surprise factor. i love TIME:

The line you've read is now past
It fell behind after being read.
The rest of the poem is the future,
which exists outside your
awareness.

The words
are here, whether you read them
or not. And nothing on earth
can change that.
