Yes, late 30s would be accurate judging from the horseless carriages.

..."photos downtown"?...yeah, I meant "autos".

...well, "thanks"! Sir Bradford.  I am not impressed ( just what I was supposingly  looking for???). But I do much admire your resourcefulness... & apparently (judging from the photos downtown ) not quite as old as I thought.

The Rapid River High School photo was followed by a shot of Main Street according to the photographer's stock numbers (D-1347; High School, D-1348, Main Street.)

Boredom is an artist's or poet's greatest resource

29.07.20  Dare Mister Val M.H., ....I give up. The B&W photo postcard of an old high school & gymnasium was sent to you in some sort of attempt  to get your "Boring Postcards" back on track as "Boring Postcards". I painfully searched thru the archives (snicker, snicker) here for hours looking for the most uneventful & "ho-hum" postcard image I could find in an earnest effort to illustrate the "Uneventful" as there always seems to be exotic locales & or something exceptionally interesting about the postcards sent to your "Boring Postcards'.  ...& what happens?  Immediately, Ms. Jenn M. starts in about some great architectural motif. Artists are just too finely tuned or sensitive & aware & obviously do not have a clue in dealing with boredom. SinCelery, Richard C.

Thoroughly enjoy the "High School Gymnasium," those are some great arches on that building.

FROM RICHARD CANARD

Thank you, mon ami.

High School and Gymnasium, Rapid River,Michigan

Richard reckons that this Postcard is 90-100 years old from the car. The Postcard is the énd in a series all sent to someone by someone. This was sent to me by Richard. And I send it to all of you ("y'all", etc)

6 MORE FROM MIKEL UNTZILLA

Whom we must thank for his never-ending sets of Boring Postcards

1. Cobocobana Beach, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)

There is a game of beach football '(soccer' to y'all) being played that you can just about see in the middle of the Postcard -- Brazil vs Norway.

2.  Mountain View, Advent Bay (Norway)

There's a football (soccer, etc) stadium center left where the 2nd leg of the Brazil vs Norway match will be played next week.

3.  Geysers, Rotorua, NZ

"Rotorua is the center of an extensive area of thermal activity. It is noted for its Maori culture and is New Zealand's most popular tourist attraction". Visitors can also have a hot shower while they are there. (Visitors from Finland can, by arrangement, have a sauna.)

4. Estoril Parque, Portugal

Environmentally-friendly Portuguese transport? Not really, as the carriage on the right seems to be filling up at a BP petrol (gas to y'all) station.

5. Star Ferry, Hong Kong

Roxy Music -- and Brian Ferry -- once played here!

6. Boca do Inferno, Cascais, Portugal

Dante Alighieri once swam here!

Another one bites the dust

Thanks Donald's namesake, as the Queen (no, not that one; and not hen, either) says:

"Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey, I'm gonna get you, too
Another one bites the dust"

The 'get you' refers, I suppose, to what's in the mail.

May all your celery sticks be filled with crunchy peanut butter.
