"Haiga" is a poetry/image art form that uses three lines of text ALONG WITH on image to describe a moment. Because English syllables differ from Japanese phonemes, the lines do NOT have to be 5-7-5 syllables -- they can be much shorter and still be English "ku". Preferably, there are no run-on sentences; no verbs; and the text alone would not evoke the same thing as the text/image together.
Traditionally haiku is about nature and senryu is about human-made things (or humans). Either haiku or senryu is welcome in HAIGA.
