Wow, so you ride a Duck! In our country we happen to call it 'Lelijke eend'' or 'Lelijk eendje' (= ugly duckling), and in Flemish 'Geitekop' (= goat's head). Anyhow, I think these cool, nostalgic cars. One day, few years ago, I have driven such a 2cv, and it was a big challenge to find out how to accelerate and how to brake :-)
By the way, the fact that my latest sent mail art contains orange is totally accidental! (and it seems to be no duck either..).
hi Valentine ,no i have,nt seen the birdy pictures i,ll have to check them out . and if i feel my african goddess needs a mask i,ll commission you to do one for me . your masks are amazing by the way ....
Hi Val, re YouTube ... I don't think of it as social media, but rather as educational & fun, for example interviews of Tom Waits, or Annie Leibovitz, or other people who fascinate me, plus the TED lectures, oh & people commenting about what it's like to live in Japan (I'd like to try that). If you ever do get to it, I'd thought to ask if you like "Simon's Cat" a creative hand-drawn cartoon by a Brit who totally captures the nature of cats, it's very amusing!
Absolutely true, Kat (+ not hard for others to imagine, one would *think*). Many IUOMA members know firsthand that we regularly exchange m.a. with longtime mail artists who don't want an obvious online presence, even though they freely became and choose to remain IUOMA members. Some were mail artists in every sense of the word way before IUOMA existed, but they remain members. Hardly to be discounted!
PS I forgot also to mention that a have a few dog videos shot at the Mad River on YouTube -- to find me there do a search for "lichenesque", that's me. They are older videos so may pixilate a bit. The labs are guide dogs belonging to a sight impaired friend.
Hi again, I had to look up the answer to your question about the origin of the Mad River's name, as I'd forgotten. Here's what wikipedia says (a crummy reason for a name, I'd say): The river was named in December, 1849, in memory of an incident when Dr. Josiah Gregg lost his temper when his exploration party did not wait for him at the river mouth.
Yes, my dear Valentine, I was referring to much mail art received from IUOMA members who have their profile page still here at IUOMA, but do not come by on-line like we fanatics :-) They are "active" as IUOMA members though.
Hi Val, Hope your foot is healing up well & that you will be back to Greek dancing soon. Foot troubles must be dropping out of the astral jet stream, I'm recovering from my first-ever week of plantar fasciitis & learning how common it is. I'm better now. Re: rat art, yes, I've moved on from rats to other critters, cats & dogs, bugs, or whatever the muse throws in front of me.

Thanks so much for your new work. I hope your Saturday evening went well.
Val, your description of sexy trash was very personal! Do you speak from experience?
Thank you! Yours is orange (in the corner on the right) above, too!
LPG = Little Purple Ghost :) Much easier to write "LPG" when tagging things :D
Thank you, my dear Valentine,

Thanks for the up date on active members, Val.
You are doing a great job with percentages, etc.
You realize that there are many members who join but do not do internet,
but do lots and lots of mail art :-)
And as Ruud says:
