Le Manoir aux Visons is very happy to answer Dark wall's call for the first MinXus-LynXus performance score. The exhibition took place here in Wakoshi at the Manoir, May 11th 2012, 7.15pm-7.30pm local time and was a flying success. At least in my mind :-)) As a curator, I wanted to focus on classic pieces I consider essential in the evolution and history of MinXus. They will be presented in chronological order of reception.
1) Boy's day - from RCBz (November 2010)
Setting the standards of aesthetics, sleekness, the care for details, and the love of a dark twist.
2) Blisspo - from De Villo Sloan (January 2011)
Asemic writing and vispo as essential elements of MinXus art. And the highly symbolic feet, of course...
3) Le Saut dans le Vide - from Bifidus Jones (February 2011)
The leap in the void, fantastic card that really got holism to kick off.
4) Stations of the Cross, part 5, The Desolation Angel in the Ruined Theater of Fluxus - from Dark wall (March 2011)
Poetry through vispo epics, adventures in a world of fantasy (he won't like me saying this) and magic. Without Dark wall no Manoir aux Visons.
5) Let them eat biscuit - from Grigori Antonin (April 2011)
Marie-Antonette, let them eat aesthetics... MinXus would not be the same without Grigori.
6) Gerald - from Cheryl Penn (July 2011)
Gerald is a permanent member of the fridge collection. He has been sent to help me with chores like onion chopping and the such, and is doing a fab job.
7) What? Why? No! - from Svenja Wahl (August 2011)
The successful combination of text and photography/image in visual poetry.
8) That wooden doll - from Diane Keys (November 2011)
Coat and fur. MinXus and Trashpo can never be completey dissociated.
9) Ignore this, it's just a fridge magnet from Switzerland (2010 I think)
Comment
It's asemic music, DK.
And yet, I still can't figure out how Minxus music sounds--maybe in Finnish I will be able to see if you can dance to it!
It's a Wholly Holy Hole: It's MINX mUSic! :-)
Ah, "Ghost in the Machine" via Arthur Koestler & The Police?
The bizarre configuration of HTML (hypertext) & metalanguage was too good to pass on as some found text. Luckily I saved a copy Meta-L intros.
Thanks, no worries.
Ok - told you - Meta-L righted itself - see, there's a Ghost in My Alphabet.
I rest my case.
