It's a beautiful morning here in Wakoshi (that's 6am from my window), everything looks as normal as possible, and I feel so lucky, being able to leave this message to you. I want to thank all of you for your kind words and thoughts, I feel like you were very close. Yesterday I thought I was going to die. Got badly shaken and shocked, but luckily there is nearly no damage in the Tokyo area. The earth is still very restless though, it keeps shaking every 10-15 min, it's a very strange feeling. The country is in a bit of a mess, I don't know how long it will take to go back to normal. But I'm fine, and again, thank you for your kind messages, you're a sweet bunch :-))

I have just read a message from dosankodebbie, Deborah, and she says she is safe and far from water

though there is damage in the area from the tsunami. She is anxious, as are all, so let's send happy mail art in support of our friends in Japan! See you in the mail, Marie!

Yes, thinking of Marie and all in Japan. Have not had a word from Deborah Davidson, though she lives on a northern island, 'hope she, too, is ok. However, they will be shaking for a long time, and even after-shocks will be enormous compared to the "tiny" earthquakes we have in Greece.

So....let's do the Val mail art send...in the mail on Monday to Marie, and to Deb!

All our support and good wishes for quick recovery and reconstruction.

(Marie, sweetie....do you have a nice rocking chair? swivel office chair? It helps!)

You are in my thoughts, Marie...be safe and take care.

Val - that is inspired! Helen amyes went through similar tribulations in Australia recently, When this happens to network friends, some special mail-art is something we can do. Fantastic idea!

LET'S HAVE A SPECIAL MAIL ART MAILING FOR MARIE AS A SIGN OF SUPPORT FROM HER IUOMA FRIENDS?

The mail might not get through to her immediately, but when it does, and when she can get her life back in order again, it could make a lovely 'Welcome back!' present for her and show her that we care.

I will be sending her something on Monday, and hope that those of you who are following this blog will join me.

Regards, Val

Thanks for your sign of life. The news was terrible, and seeing the videos of the tragedy only makes me realize how nature determins how things go.
