Hello Comrades - from Valentine Mark Herman

Hello my friends. I am desperately trying to get back to some kind of normality (utopia, I know)... I will soon go back to Tokyo, brace myself and cross all the fingers I can cross.

I miss blogging and visiting your pages, and although I still don't have the energy to be there full time, I would like to slowly get back on tracks.

There are a couple of cards I got before pandemonium struck, and Val's is one of them. A communism potpourri postcard, with special comrade salute from Elizabeth herself.

"The best things in life are free/
But you can keep them for the birds and bees"
That's a good song, Val, and Elizabeth is strangely cheering me up :-))
Thank you for sending, my dear Comrade, this is a great card!

Miss you, Marie, and hope you can get back to tokyo and back to peace and normal life/ Buy a IKEA "rocking chair" ;-)

Love the card Val sent....reminds of the day my family and I were visiting in the Soviet Union in 1991. We woke on Monday morning, August 19, 1991.. to an earthquake of another kind: Yeltsin had just moved into Moscow with tanks. There was no longer a Soviet Union! Life can change in a moment, can't it?

Stay safe and well, Marie, see you in the mail lots!

I has been difficult to do anything but watch the news and worry about you~ the world is so fragile and full of sadness these days.  My thoughts are with you as you recover.

A nice one by Val for sure. I wish you well Marie and think of you always. I hope in the next few days you get your life back, a bit anyway. DW is amusing himself with a street art jag; it won't last. We're wondering when it will be safe to mail you "stations of the cross." Hope to talk to you soon.
