Mail art by IUOMA member Jason Motsch (Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania, USA)
September 17, 2016 - The greatest trash show on earth continues with brilliant work by trashpoet and committed Kulter Jason Motsch. Those versed in the esoterica of Trashpo know Junk Mail is a sub-movement created by Diane Keys. So the piece has resonance with the larger network as well as the faithful. Here is a detail study:
Some fine vispo elements to this work as well. Here is the reverse side:
Thank you Jason Motsch of DKULTPA. As DK famously said, “The show must go on.”

Whoops, me and my big fur ball mouth.
Glad it arrived. That lets the bag out of the cat, as they say, that participants in the Karnival exhibition receive a token of appreciation for their efforts.
Some of you will get an autographed (fake) photo of DK thanking ME profusely for my efforts. Some of you know the Trashpo "Establishment" has fallen slightly short of a heartfelt endorsement of the Karnival of Trash. (DK said her participation was contingent upon a cash payment. I do not believe mail art and money mix well.)
Oh, this IS sounding all the more exciting! Can't wait to see it all displayed and performances.
I may try and reoffend again, I'm sure I can get something from Norwich to NY in a week. Thank you for my postcard, a perfect image for me, also you may be the first to successfully send me something with such a minimal address.
Gu, that's wonderful. Thank you so much.
I am seeing a number of "repeat offenders" for the Karnival call, and the work is just getting better.
I wrote to DK just the other day: "When you compete with yourself you lose because in Trashpo you are always a winner."
For those interested in the Karnival of Trash, the actual event is Sept. 27-30. People are invited to do performances at their home locations and post documentation online. For instance, KDJ will be popping popcorn as a quasi-Fluxus performance. It's all just so exciting.
Sent something on Friday DVS, I'd say lookout for it but you cant miss it :)
