A really nice collage from Katerina!

This is the second time Katerina has stitched a found can to a K.N. blue painting, but this time we have 3 at once:  There the piece is, now on a wall, as it arrived in a large envelope. Katerina may have thought I'd want to cut the cans free and eventually do something else with them, but this is a work of art unto itself from Kat.'s own mail-art sensibility, and I love it. It…

Katerina found and sent me this great rusty can lid:  It's a beaut. It's a young one--probably hasn't reached adolescence yet--so its rusty and rusting journey through life has a marvelous freshness along with the telltale signs of time and exposure.

Each envelope is really interesting by itself, too. Katerina Nikoltsou is so prolific, and so generous, that she is beyond amazing. Her blue art in the mailbox is always a sight for sore eyes, but this one stole my heart specially and immediately:

In mai I was participating in Val's mysterious-jigsaw-puzzle-project. I received puzzle pieces from different puzzles and so did other Mail Artist. I sent the pieces to Katerina, wrapped in blue Ikea-paper. She made these beautiful blue islands card. Recycling is fun! Thank you…
