She made no secret of her disdain for trashpo. Her "a monkey could do it" comment was meant as an insult I think but we didnt take it that way. For us that is a pro not a con. I could see her doing this and issuing many many boekies about it. Petrolpetal is breaking down the wall particulalry w this last bulky batch of cerealism. Maybe it is good that CPSA is not here to see it.

DK - picture this: DKULTSA - DKULT South Africa. CPSA - as wonderful & incredible as she is (I really mean it, man) - successfully orchestrated a Trashpo blockade in South Africa.

South Africa needs Trashpo. South Africa wants Trashpo. I think it's time. "Bring down the wall."

DVS, do you save and archive everything, or only the good ones? Is it by person or movement? Boxes, or electronically?

Comment by DKeys on April 29, 2014 at 4:14pm

knew you would have it!you are so good at archiving. I remember when I was first here at IUOMA, i sent Cheryl something and she acknowledged that she received it and said she posted it. i knew nothing about the blog etc but had seen someone say 'archived' so I asked if it would be in the archive? she said "no, nothing as fancy as that."

Cheryl made one for me or really  a musing on what is a trashbook, called "Is this a trashbook?"

Comment by De Villo Sloan on April 29, 2014 at 3:23pm

The part of the box I can read says: "SONKO Wholemeal crispbread" - so I'm calling that cereal. It's not the USA stuff packed w/sugar, GMOs & chemicals, but I'm guessing it's an equivalent.

Comment by Holly Cooper on April 29, 2014 at 2:58pm

Oh, seeing this is a cereal box, I will re-post the mail art I got from Petrolpetal last week here as well.

Comment by De Villo Sloan on April 29, 2014 at 2:58pm

The one Trashbook (that I know of) that Cheryl Penn made was mostly a shredded cereal box.

Comment by DKeys on April 29, 2014 at 2:47pm

i didn't realize these were cereal boxes. got one of these too. it is among the strangest things I have received as it was all folded upon itself with odd artifacts inside.  fantastic trashpo--i almost see it as a trashpo giftbox--new territory for sure to go with the DKult wrapping paper and asemic wallpaper (now extinct)
