Thank you so much for posting Amy-I love what you sent. Amy used a brown bag as her backing so the entire piece is trashpo. I have the add and pass you and Deanna worked on, on my camera--just need a card reader to upload the photos.

After many hours of hardball negotiations, Roberto has accepted his position as Manager of Trash Acquisition, Neil Gorden as Trashpo Authentication Department (responsible for issueing Certificates and monitoring trashpo sold on ebay), and Amy Irwen as Public Relations Coordinator for the promotion of Trashpo as a radical form of environmental activism. Thank you for joining the team. Negotiations are still happening as others are holding out for better offers.

Stumbled across a Thom Courcelle knitwear fashions catalogue in the DKult HQ today. He is selling out of the Macho Man Gay Pride doggie sweater and the genius Olivia Newton John-let's hide those casts sweater (comes in blue also). The phones have been ringing off the hook because NBS has forwarded them all to me, asking how they can obtain Troll doll sweaters for their friends who have everything christmas gifts. I hope Thom will still have time to make mail art this holiday season. Promising one of a kind sweaters has been the only way I could keep DKoder ring "survivors" from sueing. Thom-so much is riding on you.

Thom, you got some amazing trashpo and wonder why laminate mail art is a theme for you? Dr. E. Freud would have to analyze what that means.

Hey, you're making my day more than once in one day, Thom.  First, maybe Jon needs one of your fantastic knit creations? (Yes, aren't his cards wonderful to feel? I love them.) Second, I do hope you weren't including my cat Cookie in your mangy, pathetic, etc description, because she'll go ahead and make your day, man.

Blogged this earlier, but wanted to show-off to the Trashpo Group, too!  Our fearless Trashpo Leader sent a Halloween greeting that crosses the line of great Trashpo as well... or it WOULD cross the line, if the line wasn't crossed by crime tape that read "DANGER!!"

Have received some brilliant Trashpo-rific mail art recently from fellow members:

Neil Gordon sent  an envelope chock-full of miniature trash books!! I was starting to wonder if the book theme could go anywhere else, but Neil proved that creativity always wins-out:

Jon Foster sent me one of his amazing tape transfer creations! I was curious about them when reading others' documentation of them, but receiving one and seeing it in person was amazing.  The THEME of the piece was a little curious--"Macho Man" was emblazoned across the center of the piece, making me think Jon might still need to get to know me a little better.  But then directly under that tagline was a comics panel with a text bubble that skeptically reads, "I don't know, Scotty..."  (LOL!!) It's a GREAT creation, Jon!

And finally, a laminate piece by Pedro Bericat as part of his "Mute Sound" series of experiments. Since joining IUOMA, I have received a few pieces that were frozen-encased in laminate plastic, and I think they are absolutely brilliant.  Especially for Trashpo. Frankly, while I am learning to love the garbag-oh, there are still some things in the world with which I would rather not have direct skin contact.  Laminate solves that problem presto!... and the stuff suddenly becomes cabinet curio--something to hold and to look at under a protective pane.  Like a spider encased in a lollipop, or an ant farm securely imprisoned in a glass wall.  Pedro's piece has an empty McDonald's ketchup packet, something that looks like the residual sliver of a soap bar, and an old tram ticket that has some gooey-waxy imprint of coins on top of it. FASCINATING!!

Thanks all!

Um... I just checked in here at the Trashpo Group... and you people are definitely having way too much fun in the comment fields.

First of all, any volunteer advisory committee position members for whom Ms. Keys has indicated are to receive holiday sweaters that I'm suppose to knit should be forewarned that the aforementioned sweaters will only fit miniature troll dolls no larger than 3 inches tall, and in keeping with the group theme, will likely be worthy of the trash bin.

If any of you so wish, you may forfeit your Christmas sweaters in exchange for me sending relief aid pet animal sweaters for all of these D-Koder ring survivor class-action lawsuit victims--because they look absolutely mangy... I MEAN, pathetic.. I MEAN, in need of relief.  Respectfully,....
