This is a place to explore all things trashpo (Trash Poetry)and found objects. Trashpo is 1) economical 2) environmentally responsible and 3) challenging. It's a great way to repurpose all the trash that our planet is buried in!

"If trashpo has taught me anything its that every windblown street corner and cyclone fence is a veritable Dick Blick of free art materials."
Not that kind of junk and not thse kinds of drawers... Hey, we all have them. I have several. They are veritable trasher troves of useless and useful-but-forgotten stuff. Papers, letters from lost lovers, dried up fountain pens, church attendance…Continue

DKult was originated by DeVillo Sloan-- a Kult comprised of my 'fans' ---DKulters. He was the only one at the time and possibly even now. But It has evolved into a friendly neighborhood Kult devoted to the worship of trash and the creation of…Continue

it was pretty dried up and it would embalm it I think. I've resined dried flowers and they stay perfect forever
YIPpee! He will absolutely love this. Just send them to me and I will put them all together in a bundle for him for christmas. He said some people have a hobby of collecting trains or remote conttrolled cars and I have this. He wonders where all the ideas come from everyone? Sorry I even had the thought to send any of you fine people a dead mouse. The universe apparently agreed with you that it was a terrible idea and made it disappear. I still think Ernie or DVS would have liked it. If any of you know your postman's name let me know
Diane, I would love to send your postman a card. Please bump this up or remind me in December. And give me his name if you want or I'll just say Mr Postman c/o you. I'm on vacation until the first week. I have plans to send Nancy's mailman something too!
Double ditto...no dead mice. Yuk......
Thank You Diane! Resin it is. Your coffee table sounds hysterical, like you.
would anyone be willing to send some mail art to my postman, Dario? He loves and supports our mail art network and I wanted to give him some mail art along with a tip for christmas. he always takes the art from the mailbox to mail and I know they don't have to since the other blander postbots that fill in never do and never crack a smile. Let me know and I'll send your postman /woman something for xmas too
yes--you can get epoxy resin at Home Depot. The trick with it is to mix it exactly as they say or it won't set which can be trickly. It's super messy and if you get it on anything consider it permanent. It drips a lot. But its way fun. I used to make furniture that way by collaging it and sealing the top in resin. One time I made life size photographs of things you would have on top of your coffee table--remote, ashtray (i smoked at the time) snacks etc and sealed it that way. It's expensive too. seriously, everything looks better in resin
Resin! Beautiful stuff! How did you work with it? Can a novice just acquire it and seal stuff right away?
iT Was a baby mouse about the size of a silver dollar. I was thinking Erni might be someone who would enjoy getting it or maybe Dean. I used to work with a lot of resin so was thinking to seal it like they do artifacts in resin.
Whew. Please don't anyone put me on a dead mouse or rabbit list.
That piece below is cardboard from a postal envelope that lived on the floor for several months. It is "as is." Glad you like it, Diane.
