Do the single gloves found unexpectedly in the closet count as mail art omens?

Comment by DKeys on March 1, 2012 at 1:47pm

gloves are like buses==another one comes along every 20 min

Comment by Dean aka Artist in Seine on March 1, 2012 at 1:33pm

Yes, Nancy, so far you're the only glove from me.  But that may change now that I have found a new glove.  Men, they are all the same!

Coat Hanger!  I'm still working on the glove I found.  And my mama said
You can't hurry glove
No, you'll just have to wait
She said glove don't come easy
But it's a game of give and take
You can't hurry glove
No, you'll just have to wait
Just trust in a good time
No matter how long it takes

I have an artist friend, (serious art type, sells his art, you know the kind, actually he is the one who told me about Mail Art), anyway he did a series of 99 pieces called "ready to wear" using wooden coat hangers.  When Mim was here we had dinner with him, and told him that I had just found some old wooden coat hangers in the street.  He said, "Can I have them?"  and I said "No, I'm going to use them for mail art."  He is also the guy who told me that when I have completed 99 bar code pieces I should move on.  I think these little jems go for around $2000.00;

Aha, Neil--paper clips is a fine idea if not enough hangers turn up.

Comment by Nadine Wendell-Mojica on February 29, 2012 at 8:09pm

Love that idea. Fish line- wood hangers (old). I'll start collecting.

Comment by Neil Gordon on February 29, 2012 at 8:07pm

Love the hangers! How about Chip clips or paper clips suspended by fishing twine???
