Lisa, that is sooo cute! I bet he'd be horrified that we are all admiring him in his squirrel costume. One of the joys of parenting-dressing your kids up before they know they have the option to object:) I do love the abstract picture in the back and that fuzzy pillow is it?

Cleo-swooshes and flourishes in from stage right...a dramatic entrance..she is in velvet...takes center stage....recites brilliant soliloquy  directed at those high in the nose bleed seats.  She doesn't have high hopes she will reach any of them, yet will be happy to plant one seed. Maybe one person will go home and decide to live their life differently. They will vow to spend more time with their children, be more loving and attentive to their spouse, take more chances. Has she answered any questions or simply raised new ones? She takes a long pause..has she forgotten her lines? Are those tears welling up?is she holding back laughter? her inner conflict is obvious. In her mind she says "scene', then  slowly and purposefully puts on her flocked cloak. She walks stage left until all goes black and the curtain closes. She waits to accept flowers. But only when the time is right.

@dvs: actually, that was a reply to a post of yrs from a few days ago re "Surrealist Compliment Gen." ["That is a nice line, regardless of origins."] Nonetheless, it is applicable to this thread well also!

re: this thread/your post: as usual, the pimps & whores, oh, i mean 'art world,' has gotten hold and fucked/made it a commodity once again... [I wonder if the artists are aware - just playing the game and larfing it up at the shit they're pulling/selling and calling "art," or have they fallen for the banal & too-too obvious vogue also? Yet, as Danto said long ago, "art" is what the "art-world" defines [it as]. eh, who gives a ... it's all just names anyway... [btw, is this why you are anti "art?" I have a rather torn relation. w/ it - concept vs name. I.e., I can honestly say it's the greatest reason for living pour moi, then again, re the infamous application in the world makes, me sigh soooo sadly & scoff...]

Also I notice the big piece of art on the wall in back of Lisa in the old Halloween photo, know we know her influences... Her brother fell down the rabbit hole to find Alice....

Fantastic! Can't wait. I posted elsewhere that I saw the exhibit space I have to work with yesterday and if I get a ton of mail art by Jan. I will be able to expand the show!
