Sounds to me like someone's just taking their job a little too seriously! I've sent some teeny-tiny envelopes in the past, and the worst that's ever happened was that one was put inside a larger envelope by the post office before delivery. I'd probably trial a couple before un-peeling stamps, or paste them to larger boards as others have suggested. Such a pain! :(

That frigging sucks! You must have met a particularly unpleasant post person, or one who was new & didn't know. Look at the dimension rules on the USPS site. Non-regular sizes can post, they just cannot be machined. Next time ask for a supervisor to be sure, or just drop them all in a mailbox so you don't have to deal w/ anyone.... [btw, you can address anyway you want, you just have to pay additional non-machinable postage charge [.65 instead of .45] Aaanyway, very sorry about that indeed Steph! I like Nancy's idea re the uncancelled stamps.
