Nancy-you could have sent it off in the Barfa Spewart Tacky Holiday Gift Exchange!!  I think someone received a Chia Zombie or something. So keep that in mind-if you get some horrible gift that you want to inflict on someone else, be sure to join next year.   Martha, you are the smarty pants on how to post videos here. I need to post an audition tape here from Lucky Pierre so everyone can give their input

My chia pet, received as a gift in 1979, was a sheep. It was frightening. I'd like to have sent it on vacation.

Nancy and Diane, you have put me off Chia pets, I already have a rose of Jericho, whcih comes as a big ball of dry veggy matter. When soaked in water it revives and opens and g oes green. It will dry and close if there if the water dries up. It does not flower but ti is a very good indoor plant, no need to ask the neighbours to water it when one goes on holiday. Or it can be taken on vacation too.

Chia pets are lame--a gag gift and nothing more right? yet they have lasted all these years. Stick to rubber chickens people. We have decided on having only Bamboo for indoor plants. Too depressing that they all die. We have had some live for years and then out of nowhere just kick it. right now we have one that is defying the odds and living. Maybe i should replace him with a goat.  Martha!!!!!! This campaign is insane!!! this must have cost you a fortune in wardrobe alone!  It will be very hard to beat this

Chia pets are animals with rock-hard skin, slightly fluffy green fur that dies in no time, and eyes that don't move + tails that don't wag. They are real bummers to have for pets.

I don't know what Chia pets are but these were no pets, they made cheese in summer in the mountains and sold it in winter in the village,like Heidi only she was in Zwitzerland.

I come from a long line of peasants as well Martha. That's cool your family grew goats. Is that like Chia pets?  I think that promo piece is perfect too. If you just repeat it a few times that should equal 10 sec
