DEATH, DUENDE, MASKS, TOMBSTONES, AND GHOSTS.

People are interested in death, masks, tombstones, and ghosts.

People crave immortality and, not surprisingly, this desire manifests itself in everything from tombstone monuments to vampires, all forms art, poems, songs, and stories.

Join us in contemplating the dark and weird.  Share your melancholy, share your dreams, share the bizarre, and share the humorous.

FROM ERIC BASSO, USA

Guido,  to "celebrate" the onset of winter, is my latest poem

SOLSTICE

this is what it means to lie at anchor waking from a deep sleep as the days pass in a single hour
the fishers' nets haul up nothing because a stranger stands on the shore and all that's left is the dust floating in the candlelight
when all the ports on earth have lost their names and the seas go dry though I have looked for you everywhere I will come for you again

Glad you got my MA Theresa. Yes, it's my family back in 1960.  My parents and sister.

Got this beautiful ATC from Sue Valentine of England. I wanted to share with all because it goes so well with the Winter Solstice theme. Enjoy...
