I work on many pieces simultaneously - not just mail art: paper, mixed media, collage, panels- and I had run out of space to place incomplete work as it dries. So I built a storage rack with many shelves, shown here in the back corner. Now my…Continue

Here's my artspace today, about like it usually looks. Semi-controlled chaos.

The best art viewing space ever, Vizma. Love the light!

Two installations from the studio. Always at risk of collapse.

That photo makes me feel better Alicia! Oversized squirrels, hahaha!

Robin, I know what you mean, I've had studios in about 5 rooms in and out of this house...some just aren't conducive to art making. I've found my perfect little studio now, but I wouldn't mind building on an extension for storage!!! I will never have enough room for my stuff!!!

Love your view Viz. The difference between yours and mine: your view has oversized squirrels.

I'm envious, Viz.  Today we woke up to 9 degrees farenheit, don't know what that is in celsius--brrrrr.  And the reason I got the two studio spaces Dan showed is because I used to have only a corner of the guest bedroom, and the alcove off of that which is where my office nook is. But then Dan wanted to move the tv downstairs so I moved my jewelry studio in the room where the tv used to be.  But then Dan got worried about me using my oxy-aceteline torch on the 2nd floor of our 100 year old wooden house, so I moved the jewelry studio out to the garage and moved my painting studio out of the guest room and into that room.  Then the garage (which is not attached to the house) got broken into and a bunch of tools--including my router and dovetail jig (but fortunately no metal or stones, or jewelry tools) got stolen, so the jewelry studio (except for the torches which are still in the garage) and the assemblage studios got moved back upstairs into my paint studio which is why it's now so crowded. So see, it's really all Dan's fault LOL!
