I just reorganized my artspace to make more room for more works in progress. 1 Reply

I work on many pieces simultaneously - not just mail art: paper, mixed media, collage, panels- and I had run out of space to place incomplete work as it dries. So I built a storage rack with many shelves, shown here in the back corner. Now my…Continue

Here's my artspace today, about like it usually looks. Semi-controlled chaos.

Nadine hasn't posted her space. Will see her again in June and will be sure to take photos, with her permission of course ;--) are you reading this Queenie?

Who knew there were so many people "just looking" at IUOMA!!!? I'm that person too, although open houses are always too tidy for my liking!

When "non-artists" stumble into my studio (over boxes, books and frames) they wonder how I get anything done in such a mess, but I know exactly where everything is!!

I feel very relieved to see other art spaces so chock a block with goodness!!!

i agree Claudia.  For years i designed a magazine named 'room', featuring local homes. Some funky while others were over the top. It was always exciting when the photographer dropped off his cd of 100+ photos.  It was the best part of my job. Thinking about contacting the editor and suggesting she feature artists studios in a future issue. Having a blast peeking into the spaces here. GREAT IDEA VIZMA.

Yippeee Yi Yo! Wow wow wow!! This is better than I'd ever anticipated!! This has turned into a real group while I was asleep!! Thanks all of you for sharing your personal spaces!

Austin, that comment "from chaos comes clarity" needs to go up on my pinboard!! I also love the idea about having different themes now and then, rubber stamps, glues, pens, maybe pinboards one week? Super duper!!

Keep 'em coming! ;-)))))

Claudia, your space reminds me of nadine mojica's, do you know her? Trailing ivy and all.

The arrows I did in photoshop....the giant squid I did in photoshop as well. Brian Green think I may not exist outside of photoshop.

David, how do you do those little arrows and tiny type. I like that, even if what you point out isn't entirely in the realm of reality (or some real space - I add this with hesitation as I'm reading Brian Green's book The Fabric of the Cosmos and it's making me doubt that there is a reality.) In any case, this has been a fun journey into spaces.

That´s my place :) It is also where I write my papers.

Where do you get a papercutter in the U.S. nowadays that isn't plastic??

Comment by Alicia Starr on March 27, 2012 at 8:18pm

Guido, i am envious of those who require less rather than more. Seems like i need an arsenal of stuff.

Angie, yes, Katerina's paper cutter is vintage like her typewriters. No wine for her while operating heavy equipment ;-)
