Oh, how wonderful! Claire sent Vizma some Washi Mania? Go girl!
And today washi cats and blue, blue, blue came from Kim!
Thank you so much...and for beautiful mail art, too...
blogged here:
I wanted to have them, too. (Thanks again, Claire! *^^*)
Those are classiky's and designed by Oka Rieko (Japanese designer).

Thanks for showing, Kim, those top 2 on the right are great!! I don't think I've seen those before, wonder if they're MT?
AAAH Ha ha ha ha! You make me laugh, Kim!! That Barbie is great! I thought, when did you see my nails?? Oh, in the pic! They grow fast, and I have to cut them often, otherwise they look like witches' claws! Hope these washis are cute enough for you, and you're neither fat nor ugly, Barbie doll!!!
Wow!!! It’s just Wow!!! Bravo, Claire! :)
I received wonderful washi samples from vizma.
I love the cute stickers on the cards, too.
(As you know, I love cute stuff because I’m a cute, lovely and girly lady. hohoho!)
Thank you so much!!!
You girls are so warmhearted!
Btw, vizma, you have a beautiful nails!
My nails are very thin and brittle.
My nails are only the parts of my body that are not cute. :)
Frankly speaking, I’m getting fat and ugly as I’m getting older, but this picture made me feel much better.
Even Barbie is being changed.
Assy, or sassy, Kat?? For once in my life I will pass on the offer of free stuff, thank you. Partly because I got a stack of wonderment from Claire already!!!
Beautifully wrapped little packages and envelopes of gifts!!!
And all the bits of salvaged washi !!
Thanks Claire, m'dear! I'll have so much fun poring/pawing over this lot!!!
I HEART Paris! It t'aint BLUE...but will do :-)
I could wrap it around altered postcards from Paris in April
when i shall be there :-)
Send any "cute" washi, Claire, and I'll make it sassy, too.
Claire, I do want the 2nd & 3rd from the bottom and the very top, maybe the bottom!!! :)))
Just kidding!
It's very kind of you to share with everyone.
Yes, I'd like to get some(or one).
It doesn't matter whatever you send me.
Your kindness is much appreciated.
You girls are so sweet like Claire's pink tapes! :)
he he he - one of the magic things about it. (I think I sent you a little note that indicates that..?)
Lord girl, you've had a nice week on the washi front it seems!
Mega order from Japan arrived today - wee! In it one of Vizma's presents - a beauty indeed - tee hee! Also, I ordered some plastic printed tape from HK because I wanted some of the rolls that were in the set (they're funny!), but I have a number of rather cutesy/rather tacky imo, mostly pink tapes. But "tacky" can be rather fun & whimsical when it comes to MA. (As Vizma said, "I like to turn cutesy on its ass!") Would anyone use them/want them, or some of them? I've attached a pic - all but the 2nd & 3rd from the bottom and the very top, maybe the bottom (those are the one's I'm keeping). First come first serve, or if every one wants some, I'll split 'em, but you guys must decide who gets what... LMK -
Oh, washi on prints one makes may pull up the ink though (I printed the stickers) (on certain papers it's happened to me, but not on others...)
until...
This washi-holic is beginning to learn the tricks-of-the-trade.
Claire sent washi on playing cards, Kim wrapped washi around waxpaper piece.
"If the surface is "slick" washi no stick" :-)
and can be removed and used, again and again!
Sending some of that washi "brown" wrapped around "slick" IUOMA stickers that Claire sent.
Oh, can also be on "slick" altered postcards! Yay!
Have a good break, Susan! :)
Actually Susan, my experience is that although it takes a bit to acclimate, it's quite good for creativity to take an analog break... (and I always get a LOT more reading done - which I used to do constantly..sigh...) May your break be fruitful...!
It was meant to arrive on your birthday, Katerina, but VDay comes a good close 2nd! How appropriate, that they added a Snoopy to your package, huh? So glad you'll be using it for washis!!!
Wow! Sounds like quite the challenge! But, you're right, you'll get sooo much more done without it!! If you get washi-holic group withdrawal symptoms, you could pop into the library perhaps, and use theirs?? We'll still be here when you get back online, Cherry-baby!!
wanted to let you know that I will be without computer for 3 to 5 weeks. (gasp!) @#%^$#@@!^&&*$#@
then I will have my spanking brand new wonderful computer from my daughter in germany.
sending her this one tomorrow so her hubby, the computer geek, can download or upload or whatever all the stuff I've got on this one. (this lil' computer is on its last leg)
But I'm writing all addresses down that I can get, and I'll be hopefully spending that time actually doing mail art and other art rather than looking at it online.
Yup, going cold turkey .....no computer, nope, zip, zilch. pray for me. ; )
