Oops! I did it again! Ive just spotted another interesting lot of stamps that I simply had to own. Its a random possible unliked grab bag from Viva las Vegas stamps and i like them. so yeah, i need to get more storage boxes to house my rapidly expanding collections of stamps.

Several of us are MPP holders.  W.C. "Bill" Porter and me.  I have Mailer's Postmark Permit No.1 for the Deadwood post office.

heather, it's such an odd looking sort of thing. always a good thing in my book.

bradford, i never knew you could get a permit to cancel stamps yourself. has anyone done this?

Here in the US, we have IUOMA Bill Porter/OLATHE POST who makes rubber stamps and even cancelling devices to custom order.  Obtaining a Mailer's Postmark Permit is still free, I think.  Then you can carefully postmark/cancel your stamps exactly how you like before taking them to the post office clerk for delivery.

I have lots of rubber stamps, both traditionally block mounted and unmounted stamps (singluar or sheets) that I have had to mount myself with static cling foam as this saves space and i only need to have a few acrylic blocks to temporary hold a stamp while in use.

I have accumilated quite a lot of stamps over the years and most of them have been preloved stamps from places like ebay.

A recent ebay find that Im really excited to have found for such a low price were these In the UK, the common rubber stamp market preference seems to be different to the one in America. In the UK, there are a few good real life stores that do supply good creative and unusual stamps, such as Blade Rubber in London (ilove this place and always go visit when I stay near there), but in my own opinion, if you are looking for interesting preloved stamps, ebay uk is not the place to go looking for such. In that case, I strongly suggest to instead use ebay US.

My aforementioned stamp find was purely a chance discovery, and I dived on it as if it were gold.

I also was recently wanting a rubber stamp with my address as the stickers i had left over from my previous mail art life were recently used up and i wanted something nice, neat and compact for envelopes and other art creation signings. I found a very good custom stamp maker at www.englishstamp.com they provide a very good service that allows you to "build" a stamp with different images and texts, or to fully upload your own design for them to make.

Dear friends,

I decided that I will not cut rubber stamps myself, but I will buy vintage stamps.

Now in my collection there are stamps of the USSR and Russia, these are stamps of military units, customs, various shops and enterprises, a little stamp of the Communist party and a stamp indicating the quality of pork... These are authentic vintage stamps. I will leave their impressions on the paper.

In reply to the question of Amanda (I cannot find her/your original question here at IUOMA anymore): there are several great shops all-over the world.

Speking for myself, I have ordered nice stamps at Blade Rubber Stamps (UK) which you know already. Other stamp companies are 100 Proof Press (in the USA), Mic Moc (Australia), Stempelmakerij 'De Voet' (Netherlands). And many more.
And of course stamps from various Chinese sellers via Aliexpress, and the 'regular' collections (like Tim Holtz etcetera) via scrapbook supply stores and amazon or other multinational sellers.
But I cherish the 'smaller' stamp makers, as I think the four first mentioned are.

And of course on Etsy you can find many stamp sellers, among them stamp makers.
